GS1 Hong Kong, a local chapter of GS1, is dedicated to helping companies in Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta region continuously improve their supply chain efficiency and visibility through the innovative use of GS1 System of Standards. The GS1 Hong Kong 2014 IoT Awards shines the spotlight on the top performers in terms of adoption and creativity of this major global trend. Tyco Retail Solutions earned the Certificate of Merit for our pioneering RFID-based inventory visibility as an IoT application for legendary retailer Macy’s to execute its mission as a leading omni-channel retailer.
Chico’s Achieves Superstar Status
Retail TouchPoints (RTP), an online publishing network for retail executives, offering content focused on optimizing the customer experience across all channels, recently awarded Chico’s FAS, Inc., the 2014 Store Operations Superstar Award in the category of Inventory Management and Loss Prevention. By partnering with Tyco Retail Solutions, Chico’s successfully completed a strategic RFID-based inventory project to address item-level accuracy and visibility challenges in 13 Soma Intimates pilot stores. The Superstar Award recognized Tyco’s innovative RFID-enabled inventory management initiative supporting Chico’s customer-centric efforts and focus on innovation to improve the in-store experience.

Tyco’s supply chain transformation project helped this fashion icon to gain greater item-level visibility throughout the supply chain: from vendor shipment, to store receipt, throughout the store and to the customer through the point-of-sale (POS).
